About the South Skye Community Campus
Mu Àrainn Coimhearsnachd Ceann a Deas an Eilein Sgitheanaich
Introducing the South Skye Community Campus, a £1.5 million project that will bring about a transformation in the South Skye area.
This exciting initiative, spearheaded by the South Skye Community Campus (SSCC) SCIO, aims to improve and manage sporting and creative facilities for our community. With the new campus, we will eliminate the need for our community members to travel long distances just to engage in one hour of sport or creative activities. By becoming a member and supporting this project, you play a vital role in demonstrating the strong desire and necessity for these proposed facilities in southern Skye. Together, let’s shape a better future for our communities. Join us now and be a part of the Sporting and Creative Facilities for our community.
The South Skye Community Campus is a charity created to improve and manage sporting and creative facilities in South Skye.
South Skye is an area that has had minimal investment in sporting facilities over the years. At the same time there has been significant investment in housing, a new hospital and fish feed plant.
Additional infrastructure is essential if we want people to come and live and work here addressing depopulation and supporting local businesses.
This community project has been in development for over 10 years and includes the following partners:
- Broadford Primary School Parent Council
- Broadford & Strath Community Council
- Broadford & Strath Community Company
- Sleat and Strath Football Club
- Broadford Village Hall
- Broadford Youth Club
- Skye Camanachd Ladies
- Skye & Lochalsh Female Football Club
